The Mix Trend Wall
The Surface Design Show this year was bursting with innovative ideas and it was really inspiring to be a part such a forward thinking event. The Mix Trends presentations told the story of our trends for Spring Summer 2013: Reflect, Crowd, Precious and Block.
Having the Trend Wall was a really successful way to show visitors the trend Reflect brought to life and explained the story through materials and surface samples from dynamic companies such as Muraspec, Shaw contract group and Formica. Graduate work such as Natalie Dawson’s digital prints brought another exciting aspect to the wall.
Visitors gave us great feedback and said how useful it was to see the trend brought to life. The Mix Trends presentations introduced key aesthetic directions a year in advance and this combined with the tactile Trend Wall gave visitors a wealth of information to inspire their next projects.
