From the colour consultancy house Global Color Research™ and publishers of Mix and Mix Trends, this is a special workshop aimed at individuals within the interior, textile and material industries who are keen on learning about colour direction for 2012/13 and how to use successfully forecasting information. This workshop is conducted by the colour expert and trend consultant Sally Davies.

Our aims of the workshop are:

  • To show how colour palettes are developing using Mix Trends Retroflow.
  • To share knowledge and creative thinking on trend forecasting and colour research.
  • To engage in discussions to encourage thinking in a wider context when researching, designing, and creating
  • To engage in tasks to better understand colour and trends and how they can inform your design ideas.

The workshop will cover:

  • How colour forecasting is conducted.
  • How colour palettes have developed over recent years and how colours are moving on.
  • Discussion of key colours and trends for 2012/13 and 2013
  • Tasks to help you use your research and colours to create mood boards and colour combinations.

On completion you will leave with a greater knowledge of the colour forecasting industry and the ideas and thoughts that come together to inform concepts and design ideas. This will help inspire, encourage and develop your colour choices for your designs.
