The home of Mix Publications, bringing you all the latest colour and design trend information!
Global Color Research and Mix revealed as the colour and design trend authority for 100% Design 2013.
We are excited to bring our expertise to this year’s 100% Design with our project
Trend Edits by Mix, as we collaborate with some of the industry’s leading brands to bring you colour and trend information for 2015, as the show takes its new direction as a professional platform for the design industry.
With the focus again this year on Office, Interiors, Kitchen & Bathrooms and Eco Design & Build, each of these sections will have its own ‘hub’ at the heart where you will be able see our colour and trend information available.
Design practice TILT, will be presenting their ‘hanging room’ concept in the office section and we will use this as a platform to show highlight importance of colour in the workplace, spatial application and colour psychology. In the Kitchen & bathroom section, creative studio Mette has been commissioned to create their ‘Farm Kitchen’ micro-agriculture concept. We will walk you through how this topic has developed as a trend over time as we look at past and current trend manifestations and their continued development and application.
Creative platform specialists Talenthouse and one of the UK’s 3D print pioneers, iMakr are bringing their ‘Home Factory’ concept to the Interiors Hub. We will show how 3D printing, new materials and consumer-led manufacturing will impact future design trends.
The Eco, Design and Build hub will be produced by London based materials resource studio and long time partners of ours, Material Lab. The ever-changing installation will inspire interaction with some of the world’s most innovative building and architectural materials and we will utilise this to offer a greater understanding of materials in the creative process, selecting the right material or surface and how this impacts the look and feel of interior and exterior applications. Visit this hub to get an insight at what future material trends to look out for.
To assist our work with this project we will be utilising past, present and future trend stories from our colour and trend forecasting book Mix Trends as well as our comprehensive research information that is published in Mix magazine. With references to seasons from AW 11/12 right through to SS 2015 this is an inspirational colour project not to be missed!
Mix magazine and Mix Trends forecast book will be available to purchase with exclusive offers on subscriptions and single copies available at our stand L352.
Creating a dialog with the 100% Design audience around the value of trend intelligence, we will also be part of the seminar programme, where we will explore in detail all of the colour and trend information in the hubs.
