Acoustic Panelling

Acoustic Panneling

In Mix magazine, issue 32, we looked at the way that acoustic panelling has shaken off its rather dowdy, utilitarian reputation to embrace an aesthetic that is both bold and exciting. The continuing dominance of the open plan office has one major disadvantage; noise pollution. Too much noise makes us stressed, angry and stops focus, which isn’t good for employers or employees. Acknowledgement that the open plan is here to stay but that people need quiet as never before has led to a whole raft of solutions, some focusing on office furniture, others on panelling, to muffle sound and make a more user-friendly environment for work.

The new issue of Mix magazine is out now, looking at colour and design trends for Autumn Winter 2014/15. Get your copy here.
